Arkive Magazine

In my first published essay, I explore the concept of trans time, a fluid and spiraling experience that envisions potentialities alongside the struggles of navigating my second puberty. In this reflection, the sale of my Abuela's house leads to the inheritance of belongings and memories, prompting a revisitation of multiple versions of the self. All scans and linocuts are provided by me. Sit at the family table with me.

Dreaming Different is an exploration of worldbuilding guided by the question: How can we design the future through a neurodivergent lens?

Hosted by Jezz Chung, this six-episode podcast series includes conversations with organizers, artists, cultural philosophers, and scientists to explore how a better understanding of neurodiversity—including the language and experiences of it—can help us create cultures that are more inclusive, equitable, accessible, creative, and connected. It’s our hope that through imagination and conversation, this series helps you think, and ultimately dream, a little differently.

As a producer and editorial collaborator, I worked with Jezz to secure guests, schedule interviews, and gather access needs during the pre-production phase. Post-production, I shaped the episodes, edited transcripts alongside Jezz, and noted pull quotes for social media.

Tune in.

Foundwork Dialogues Series

“How do we archive the missing? How do we fill in the gaps of history produced by colonial violence and erasure?

As one of three shortlisted honorees for the 2022 Foundwork Art Prize, I spoke with Chris Zhongtian Yuan about the origins of their archiving practice, making space for screaming, interrogating structures of power through architectural renderings, and the potentiality of resonant sound over the physical manifestations of body and place. “

Headspace

For Headspace’s partnership with Lucasfilm, I explored the Star Wars Galaxy and wrote a Sleepcast traversing the planet of Tatooine. Enjoy time with a moody Luke Skywalker at Lars Moisture Farm, a brooding Han Solo in Mos Eisley cantina, a lost and sand stricken C-3PO and R2-D2 in a Jawa transport before exploring the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon just before it shifts into hyperspeed.

Deem Journal

For Issue Three of Deem Journal, “Envisioning Equity,” I interviewed archival activist Danielle Brathwhaite-Shirley about archiving the expansiveness of Black trans existence, building archives that center Black trans people in which the viewer cannot remain passive, and what it would mean to create a truly equitable climate and future for Black trans people.
